Summer of 2017 was one of the best years for peaches ever! The trees were so heavy with early fruit that we had to thin them several times. It also was a summer of no fruit fly damage, for some reason we can’t explain. In past years our peaches have been pock-marked by fruit fly holes that cause bruises around the hole, and thus un-marketable fruit. But the trees, the insects, the fruit all lined up to allow us to grow our best peaches ever! 2018 is looking to be a smaller crop which allows the trees to rest.
